Erectile Dysfunction (ED)
Medications and viagra
I am considering asking my doctor if Viagra is ok for me, but before I do I would like to know from you. I am being treated for angina with 50mg Toprol, 2000mg Niaspan and 20mg Lipitor for Cholesteral. Do any of the above have an effect on Viagra
These drugs should be safe with Viagra. However, if you are having angina, then you should be assessed by your primary care doctor and / or your cardiologist before starting Viagra or any of its cousins such as Levitra or Cialis. Also, you may NOT use any nitrates with Viagra or its cousins. Thus, if you use nitro or have it on your shelf at home, or in your pocket, do not use Viagra unless you are told it is safe to do so by your local doctor, and never, never use Viagra with a nitro pill, patch etc, together.
