I had the upper, lower, palete and chin surgery about 3 weeks ago. My jaw is not opening very wide, will the surgeon open it himself with a special tool, or do I just keep excercising and sooner or later it will open?
Three weeks is not a very long time after such an involved procedure. Talk to your surgeon, but chances are this is just part of the normal healing process. Mouth opening typically starts to improve dramatically 6 to 8 weeks after orthognathic surgery.
