Low platelet count05/06/2004 |
My husband has had lots of blood work done these past few months. The doctors told him that his platelet count is 3.9 and that its nothing to be worried about, but may be the cause of lupus or leukemia. Recently we found out that his mother was told the same thing. Could there be a possibility that it was passed from the mother while in the womb? Or could this possibly be lupus?
This would not be passed by the mother. Lupus can cause low platelets but there are numerous other causes.
