Preventing Cancer

04/20/2004

Question:

What are some of the things that you can do to prevent getting cancer?

Answer:

The best way to prevent cancer is to eat a healthy diet (low in fats, high in fiber), take a one-a-day vitamin, exercise regularly, avoid excessive sun exposure without use of sunscreen, and avoid smoking or long-term exposure to cancinogens. These measures will not prevent you from developing cancer, but will reduce your risk somewhat.
