Question about safety precautions05/04/2004 |
Thank you in advance for your help. If a dentist uses gloves, and a paper face mask, but does not wear protective eyewear, or just uses regular prescription glasses, should this worry their patient.
The rules in Ohio state a dentist must wear gloves, mask and glasses (or a face shield) when spattering of blood or other body fluids is likely. The glasses can be regular prescription glasses, but they must have protective side shields.
