H. capsulatum

06/07/2004

Question:

Can H. capulatum be found in a home septic leek

Answer:

H. capsulatum is found in the soil and is associated with bird and bat guano. It is not stimulated to grow in human waste. Therefore, it is very unlikely that a septic tank leak would be associated with H. capsulatum.
