Will you die from having lupus? What are the symptoms?
Lupus can affect any part of the body and hence can present in many different ways and have lots of different symptoms. Common complaints are rashes and joint and muscle pain and swelling. Nearly every patient has a positive ANA, a type of antibody. Patients can die from lupus especially if it affects the kidneys and/or the brain. For further information I would recommend going to the following websites: - The Arthritis Foundation @ www.arthritis.org and The Lupus Foundation of America @ www.lupus.org.
