Steriods09/22/2004 |
Do steriods only affectkids . What if an adult starts does it have the same side affects?
Steroid use affects both adults and children. The side effects will be about the same regardless of the age of the person, including changes in body bulk, mood swings, increased aggressiveness, increased cholesterol, and high blood pressure.
One way in which steroids affect children and adults differently is that in children, steroids can cause early closure of the growth plates in the bones, leading to stunted growth. In adults, who have already reached full size, this would not be an effect of steroids.
