Retesting For HIV After Risky Behavior

Question:

My husband cheated with a woman who had STDs and maybe HIV. He has tested negative to HIV. Is there a possibility that we could still be at risk for HIV in the future?

Answer:

He may want to repeat his test at 6 months after exposure to rule out infection.
