Tingling in left hand and left shin & foot

03/31/2005

Question:

Two months ago I woke with a sharp pain from my neck through right shoulder. This continued for a week or so followed by that arm tingling when moved into resting on a desk positin or hanging forward from the body. I had an EMG of the arm which was negative. That has subsided, but two weeks ago my left forearm and pinky and ring finger on my left hand started tingling. I sometimes feel as if the movement in those two fingers is also slow. That has continued and now about a week ago, my shin and foot on my left leg started tingling. When my foot started tingling, I became terrified with the possiblilities. I had an MRI of my neck yesterday and an MRI of my brain is scheduled for two days from now. Any thoughts would be appreciated.
