What is normal foot pressure? Can you self check it with an arm pressure gague?
What an insightful question - good for you for even knowing about this! Blood pressure measured in the arm should be at least the same number to slightly below when measured at the ankle. For example, a systolic blood pressure (the top number) of 120 in the arm would be 120-140 at the ankle in someone with no evidence of vascular disease. Mild vascular disease occurs when the ankle pressure is 80-90% of the arm pressure. <80% is indicative of some presence of vascular disease. Thanks for asking!
