hi, i had a septoplasty surgery to clear my sinuses,its been like 5 weeks and ive been feeling a lot of facial pain congestion, my ears feel full and popping.i asked my doctor, but he seems not to want to tell me a whole lot of information. can you tell me at least how long will it take to fully recover from all this discomfort
Typically 5 to 7 weeks is the average time, however some of the symptoms may linger for as long as 12 weeks after surgery. Sometimes, depending on the circumstances, less is more in terms of what we tell patients as health care providers. Your surgeon may not want for you to worry unnecessarily, if by all objective measures you are heading in the right direction.
