Low Carb Diet vs. Low Blood Sugar

08/08/2005

Question:

I recently had a cholesterol test taken. The results came back all in the normal range yet had the following note. "Cholesterol looks great. Blood sugars are low, need to repeat test. Please fast before. Recommend smaller frequent meals, also low carb diet." My triglycerides were 108 and the norm is less than 200. I presume that this is the Blood Sugar Level they are refering as low. And I understand that this might alter the results or place concern. But why would it be recommended that I should go on a low carb diet if I already have low blood sugar levels?
