Do I Have HIV After Being Cut By A Manicure Tool?10/05/2005 |
A few years ago, I had my nails done. During the manicure, the manicurist nicked my finger with a tool. I did not think much about it, because it had happened before. About 10 days later, I threw up twice. I had no other symptoms, but several things would have caused me to throw up.(I started my period, I took my medicine for cramps on an empty stomach, and tried to sooth my stomach with several peppermint candies). I have been worried that I could have contacted HIV in this way. Your comments will be appreciated.
Your symptoms were mainly vomiting which does not fit completely with acute HIV seroconversion disorder. There may be another exposure that caused you to acquire this infection.
