Migraine pain11/15/2005 |
Dear Dr. I am a mirgraine sufferer and have recently noticed a lot of pain in my jaw, even my gums. I also have TMJ and I am wondering if breaking my jaw and having it replaced would help with migraines. I have heard of some people who have gone this route and never suffered a migraine again.
Orthognathic or jaw surgery is not a solution for migraines. The best person to deal with a situation like this would be an orofacial pain specialist or a neurologist.
