My son is 16months. He has only 8 teeth, is this normal he has had them now for 7 months.
There is great variation among children regarding the time that their teeth erupt. The first teeth to erupt are the "incisors" which are the upper and lower front teeth. If these are the eight teeth that your son has erupted, that is relatively late but within the range of normal. 16 months is not too early to have your son examined by a pediatric dentist if you have concerns.
