Skin Care and Diseases
All of the sudden, my skin starts to itch and when I scratch it starts to whelp. It looks like someone beat me. Within minutes the wheps are gone. My doctor (PCP) suggest that my skin is just sensitive, and that I need to use products with less chemicals. I am now trying all natural body wash, lotion and taking Omega 3-6-9 (essential orls and fatty acids. It has been 1 week and I do not see a change. Someone at a vitamin shop also suggested that I use a filter on my shower. What do you think?
There are many causes of itching - some more serious than others. Sometimes, these are transient episodes, lasting no more than a couple of weeks, or maybe just aggravated by the dryness of the skin in the winter. If it does persist despite moisturization, a visit to the dermatologist is recommended.
