3-year-old with cavities01/18/2006 |
The same 2 back lower teeth are shaped with the same indentation. This doesn`t really sound like a cavity to me. Should we tramatize her with having them filled. I think she`s too young. If so, is there a pain free method?
Your child should be examined by a pediatric dentist to first determine if her teeth have cavities. If so, you can discuss with the dentist the benefits and risks of treating now versus deferring treatment until your daughter is older. There are some treatment techniques which do not always require local anesthesia, and your child's dentist can discuss these with you.
