Xray findings:levoconvex lumbar rotoscoliosis

02/20/2006

Question:

The above are the findings of my recent xray. It additionally says there is a slight separtation of two segments of the coccyx which are both well defined, there could be recent injury to the coccyx. Clinical correlation recommended. Also, mild facet arthrosis at L4-5 and L5-S1. No fracture or malalignment seen. Also, mild disc space narrowing at L4-5 and L5-s1. I am currently seeing a Chiro. is there any other form of treatment? I am a great deal of pain and unable to work. Any help?

Answer:

Unfortunately diagnosis can not be made by reports or over the internet. Some of the noted findings such as that about the coccyx can be entirely normal and are unlikely a cause of severe low back pain. I would recommend seeing an Orthopaedic spine surgeon in your area for further work up.
