Poison ivy rash02/18/2006 |
How quickly can someone break out in a rash after direct contact with poison ivy?
Generally, it typically takes 48 hours for poison ivy to develop as this is a form of delayed type hypersensitivity. However, in very sensitive individuals it may manifest as early as 24-36 hours. It will vary from individual to individual.
