Combining Osteoporosis Drugs02/20/2006 |
My doctor has me on both Evista and Actonel. Should I take both?
It is rare that people use both Evista and Actonel since both are known to prevent fractures. One of the few scenarios where someone might use both drugs is when the patient is at high risk of hip fracture and at high risk of breast cancer. However, there are no data on long-term use of both drugs together for these purposes.
