Erectile Dysfunction (ED)

Impotence

02/20/2006

Question:

I have recently pulled my groin in lacrosse practice a day ago, and now I am impotent. It is not a severe strain, mild discomfort at most, This has never happened to me and I am wondering if this is normal at all or at least expected due to the injury? Is there something worse than a groin strain going on? please any help would be wonderful.

Answer:

It is unusual to have physical impotence after a muscle strain or pull in that area, unless there some type of nerve injury, blood vessel tear or severe pain with erection.  Please see a urologist if the situation persists.
