Very late teether02/24/2006 |
My daughter is a very late teether, she got her first tooth when she was 17 months old. Now she is 21 months, and has only 5 teeth! She has not had any new teeth in the last 3 months. I should add, she was born 6 weeks premature, and has not taken to cow/soy milk after she was weaned (12 months). Should I be worried, do I need to take her to a pediatric dentist?
The age range for erupting baby teeth is very broad. The sequence of erupting teeth is more important than the exact timing, and it is a good idea to have your daughter examined by a pediatric dentist.
