Diet Tips For Hyperthyroidism03/02/2006 12:39AM |
I am 24 years of age, married from last 15 months. My THS level has been detected as 16. What should I eat and what should be avoided in the diet? Is it true that I should stop taking tea, coffee, alcohol based bevarages and soft drinks? I hope it can be treated and will not have major problems in conceiving.
Your high TSH indicates that your thyroid gland is not making enough thyroid hormone. The treatment for this (assuming you do not have one of the temporary forms of the disease) is to take thyroid hormone pills. Modification of your diet is not necessary in any way.
