Infertility

Progesterone and sex

03/09/2006

Question:

Is it safe to have sex if I am using progesterone suppositories during my fertility treatment?

Answer:

Natural progesterone is safe to use during pregnancy.  It may help implantation and maintenance of the early pregnancy.  It should only be used after you have ovulated (if used before ovulation, it may prevent you from doing so).
