Question:

i had a hysterectomy when i was 26 years old. i still have my ovaries, when should i experience menapause? how will i know since i do not have periods, i just turned 46 years old.

Answer:

You will go through menopause whenever your body was intended to go through menopause.  The normal age range for menopause is 41-55.  You may become aware of menopause if you have some of the classic symptoms such as hot flashes or vaginal dryness.  One in four women have no symptoms of menopause.
