Erythroped and pulmonary fibrosis04/10/2006 |
My mum has got pulmonary fibrosis and has been prescribed erythoped ( erthyromycin) for a infection but she seems to think she has read somewhere that she shouldn take this with her condition
Patients with pulmonary fibrosis can receive erythromycin. However, erythromycin should not be used with certain other medications that can affect the conduction system of the heart (the QT interval of the heart beat). If there is any question, your mother can check with her physician or her pharmacist to be sure that there is no interaction between erythromycin and any of her other medications.
