Molluscum scars05/02/2006 |
Will the tiny pit holes left by molluscum eventually dissapear? My 2 year old daughter has molluscum under her chin but keeps scrating/picking them and they seem to be leaving small grey pit holes?
A pit at the site of molluscum suggests that the molluscum lesion is still present, even though it is less prominent. Most of the lesions in this disorder occur away from hair follicles, not in hair follicles, so you would not be confusing that pit with a hair follicle. I urge you to see a board certified dermatologist so that proper treatments can occur and minimize your daughter's scarring.
