Toothless 16 month old04/18/2006 |
Hi there, my daughter is now 16 months old and does not have any teeth. I cannot see or feel any either. Should I wait until she reaches the 18 month mark to see a pediatric dentist or go now? Thanks in advance for your advice.
Baby teeth begin to erupt within a broad range of ages but the lack of any sign of eruption at 16 months is unusual. Now is the time to see a pediatric dentist. She may take an x-ray to verify the presence/absence of teeth and can discuss potential causes of late erupting or missing teeth.
