Extra tooth in gum-line05/22/2006 |
My 71/2yr old son has what appears to be an extra tooth coming out his upper-inside lip. This object is hard and sharp. He is not compaing of any pain although when he gets up in the morning- the the top lip is very swollen. Why is it in his lip and what should I do about it?
What you describe may be a foreign object from a fall or a piece of tooth that has been fractured. Your son needs to be examined by a dentist to determine what the object is and how it should be managed.
