Breast leakage early pregnancy06/19/2006 |
I’m 15 weeks pregnant and have noticed that if my breasts are squeezed, even a little bit, they leak a sticky clear, yellowish, substance. My breasts don’t feel sore or hurt. I was reading through posts and articles many people describe the leakage as being white or milky but mine is clear-yellowish. Is that normal during early stages of pregnancy? Or should I be worried? Thank you
Colostrum is able to be manually expressed after twelve weeks. Colostrum is an antibody rich secretion that is made by the breast prior to breast milk. It may be a yellowish color. It is often leaked during the last trimester of pregnancy. If you are concerned about this you should discuss your secretions with your health care provider
