Chlomid05/18/2006 |
I used chlomid about three years ago because I have PSOC and I got pregnant within two weeks of taking the chlomid. My husband is in the military and now we are stationed somewhere else and now my doctor here says she doesn`t want to put me on chlomid till we try doing the whole temperature thing. Now since I`ve had my first child two years ago I haven`t been on any birthcontrol so I know I can`t get pregnant on my own so should my doctor be putting me through all the regular tests again even though I know I can`t get pregnant without the chlomid?
Usually, patients with PCOS have irregular periods. In this case, the use of BBT's is unnecessary as patients usually require assistance to ovulate such as clomiphene citrate. Because patients with PCOS have an increased risk of miscarriage, it is also recommended that patients take Metformin (an insulin sensitizing agent) to reduce this risk. I would recommend repeating a semen analysis prior to treatment. We also consider performing an HSG (dye test) to make sure the tubes are still open.
