Missed period, should I see doctor?
My normal cycle is 33 days. It has now been 45 days in this cycle and my period has not started. I've taken 2 pregnancy tests and both are negative. Should I call my doctor or wait it out?
If your periods have been regular during the preceeding months, one month of a prolonged cycle is not a reason to see your doctor. When you have repeated prolonged or irregular cycles, you should seek medical evaluation. Although pregnancy is a common cause of a missed period, if you are using effective birthcontrol and have had negative pregnancy tests, you are unlikely pregnant. If your peroid doesn't return by the length of about 2-3 normal cycles, you should seek medical attention.
