Could I Have an Underactive Thyroid?06/12/2006 |
I feel drained most of the time. Have put this down to working nights for a number or years. My skin on my face keeps breaking out in dry patches, my periods are heavy, but I have recently been taking the mini pill instead of combined. I have been trying to lose weight to no avail. Do you think it could be an underactive thyroid? I had bloods a couple of years ago and were normal. Could things have changed since then?
Yes, it is possible that these symptoms could be from an underactive thyroid. A simple blood test will tell you whether or not that is the problem.
