04/02/1998

Answer:

The most likely cause is Bell's palsy a temporary affliction of the facial nerve. Bell's palsy usually gets better within a week, and may need steroids to assist in healing. One must always be concerned about the much less common incidence of stroke; therefore, it is essential to see your health care provider.
