Breast Feeding




I am interested is there any proper diet for losing weight while you breastfeed? As after delivery I have gained a lot of kg. I would very much like to lose some weight.


While breastfeeding it is essential that you maintain a good diet. Most women who follow a solid lactation diet will loose one to two pounds per month after the first month. If you find that you are not losing weight, you might try to increase your activity level and decrease the amount of sweets and fatty food you are eating. Your caloric intake should not drop below 1,500 kcal/day while you are breast feeding If you restrict your caloric intake to low, it can affect you milk supply.
