Dental and Oral Health (Children)
my 11 year old son has an extra tooth. He has 5 teeth between his lower eye teeth. Four are adult teeth, and one looks to still be a baby tooth. Is this normal?
No, it is not normal to have five incisors. One could be an extra tooth or simply a baby tooth that hasn't fallen out yet. Either way, it's presence could affect the way that your son's teeth will align. See a pediatric dentist or an orthodontist for a clinical evaluation and to discuss options for treatment.
