Sarcoidosis and specialists in our area07/03/2006 |
My 40 year old daughter has been diagnosed with sarcoidosis and she feels the pulmonologist she was referred to does not take her seriously. She,therefore, feels insecure with her treatment,and/or the physician, although she likes him on a personal level. I wonder if you know of any specialists in San Francisco or that area to which she might be referred. Her breathing is being affected more every day,and we are all concerned.
Dr. Om Sharma is a well-known expert in the field of sarcoidosis. He is located at USC, Los Angeles. Even if he is not available (he is a researcher), he could direct you to regional experts.
