Drop in PSA Though Diagnosed with Prostate Cancer07/07/2006 |
While biopsy proved cancer, my PSA has gradually dropped from 10.6 to 5.8 over 18 months. What does this mean?
With biopsy proven prostate cancer, the prostate cancer will not spontaneously resolve. The change in the PSA may indicate there was also an inflammatory component of the elevated PSA before, that may be resolving. Regardless, it is not indicative of resolving prostate cancer.
