Varicose veins are common among the elderly and considered a harmless manifestation unless it is traumatized, which can lead to excessive bleeding. Otherwise it is totally benign. You must be clinically evaluated by an Oral Medicine specialist or a Geriatric Dentistry specialist to have a proper diagnosis. Please check with the Dental School nearest you.
