Repairing A Gold Crown07/31/2006 |
My dentist says I have worn a hole in the gold crown. He said I have to have another crown. I asked him to "patch" the old crown since the tooth is still good. He says he can`t do that??
It is sometimes possible to patch a gold crown with amalgam filling material; however, clinical assessment is needed. Every situation is different, and this may not be a solution for you. It may be helpful to get a second opinion.
