Popping varicose vein under tongue08/03/2006 |
I have a vein under my tongue that is very large and pops out like a hernia. I cannot find anything on this. Help please.
Varicose veins are common among the elderly and considered a harmless manifestation unless it is traumatized, which can lead to excessive bleeding. Otherwise it is totally benign.
You must be clinically evaluated by an Oral Medicine specialist or a Geriatric Dentistry specialist to have a proper diagnosis. Please check with the Dental School nearest you.
