what can cause white gums? my daughter`s saids that she might have cancer. are there other reasons for white gums?
Yes, for instance, candida (fungal) infections may cause a similar appearance. Also, heavy smokers may have whiter gums since smoking will increase keratinization.
Your daughter still needs to see a dentist and may need to have a biopsy taken from her oral cavity for correct diagnosis.
