Irritation after intercourse10/04/2006 |
Is it possible to be allergic to your sex partners semen or bodily fluids, I ask because after intercourse with my partner I’m always really irritated with itching, burning and sometime a little swelling in my vagina and anal area, we do not have anal sex, I stay moist during intercourse and he does not cum inside of me. What could be the problem?
Although there have been isolated reports of allergy to semen, it is far more likely to be another problem. It may be a reaction to something else associated with the sex act (eg., condom, spermicide, lotion, or lubricant), a vaginal infection, or another inflammatory vaginal condition that is only symptomatic after the friction of intercourse.
A physical exam would help to rule out one of these other conditions.
