Red spots on legs10/17/2006 |
What are these pin head size red spots under my skin? They are on both legs. Most of them are near my ankles. They don`t itch.
The chances are that these represent variations of small cherry angiomas that are frequently seen in individuals past 25 to 30, though not exclusively. If there is no swelling of your legs, and no symptoms, they probably are "Demorgan angiomas" and are benign. They can be easily destroyed with an elective needle or laser administered by a board certified dermatologist. If the lesions are transient and leave any kind of yellow discoloration, they may represent petechiae, and as such you need to see your primary care physician and/of your board certified dermatologist for verification.
