What are its purpose(s) and side effects?
Hydrocodone is often used in combination with other medications such as:
- acetaminophen
- ibuprofen
- and guaifenesin.
Hydrocodone-containing products are used to treat moderate to severe pain due to various conditions such as:
- headache
- back pain
- muscle pain
- dental procedures
- cough
- and cancer.
Side effects that have been reported with use include:
- dizziness
- drowsiness
- lightheadedness
- abdominal pain
- and nausea/vomiting.
Any side effects experienced while taking medications should be discussed with a physician.
