Enlarged kidney11/06/2006 |
I had back pain and cramps for a few days and went to my gynegoglist. She thought I passed a kidney stone. I went to my family dr. and he sent me for a ct scan and it came back that my right kidney is enlarged. Could it be enlarged from a kidney stone that I may have passed or what is the cause?
An enlarged kidney can be caused by many things. It may be normal or it may be due to some obstruction. It is less likely that a stone that has passed would lead to significant dilation. It may be prudent for you to be evaluated by a urologist.
