Aspirin Dosage11/02/2006 |
I recently read somewhere that when taking a daily baby aspirin, 81mg, for prevention of heart attack/stroke, it is recommended that twice a month a full dose of aspirin, 325mg, be taken.Have you heard of this and what is your opinion? Thanks
Most studies have not shown any increased benefit of taking more than 81 mg of as a daily. Some patients may benefit from higher dose aspirin if they are at higher risk of stroke or have had a prior stroke.
