Science fair project: eggshells=tooth enamel?11/27/2006 |
I am a 7th grader and I am doing a science fair project on "Which toothpaste whitens the best?" I handed in a sheet w/ info about my topic but my teacher said that I shouldn`t use eggshells because they are not similar to tooth enamel. I have no idea what else to use though & I have read about mant projects that are using eggshells also. Do you have any suggestions or facts that I can use to prove my teacher wrong? Please help ASAP!! Thanks.
I am a dental hygienist, and even my son used eggshells for a project! We used brown eggs and it was great. We used Crest white strips and other whitening products but we did not use toothpaste. I think it would be interesting. Be sure you brush the eggshell (if you are using them) for the same amount of time you would brush one`s teeth.
