Understanding Ejection Fraction11/15/2006 |
Is an ejection fraction of 52% normal? Thank you for your time.
An ejection fraction of 52% is within the 'low normal' range, depending on what type of imaging was used to evaluate the EF. By Echocardiography, we grade EF as normal when it is 55 +/- 5%, or greater. So, 52% would be within this range.
